- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the sourdough bread slices on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
- Toast the slices in the oven for 5-7 minutes, until they are golden and crisp.
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, half of the dill, all the chives, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture generously over each toasted sourdough slice.
- Top each tartine with sliced pickles and sprinkle with remaining dill and capers.
- Serve immediately, optionally drizzled with a touch more olive oil.
