- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Brown beef on all sides, remove from pot.
- Add onion and carrots, sauté for 5 minutes.
- Return beef to pot, add turnips, broth, and tomato paste.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 60 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, serve hot.
