- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chopped green onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Stir in the chickpeas, turmeric, garam masala, coriander, and red chili powder.
- Season with salt and pepper, stirring well to coat the chickpeas with the spices.
- Cook for another 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chickpeas are heated through and slightly crisp.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Serve with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh zing of flavor.
