Sautéed Swiss Chard with Garlic Scapes and Lemon Zest

- Rinse and dry the Swiss chard leaves thoroughly.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the garlic scapes and sauté for 2 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet, stirring to coat the leaves with the oil and garlic scapes.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, if using. Continue to sauté for 5-6 minutes, or until the chard is wilted and tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon zest and juice.
- Transfer the sautéed chard to a serving dish and sprinkle with toasted pine nuts, if using.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
